so very thankful
This week I have been thinking a lot about how far I have come since surgery. I can't believe that it has been 5 years and 7 months since my first open-heart surgery and 7 months since my second one. I would be lying if I said that it doesn't make me teary-eyed to think about cause it down right makes me weep. Some days I honestly can't believe that I have actually gone through 2 open-heart surgeries within the last five years...TWO! It truly blows my mind. It has left me with so much to be thankful for: wonderful and talented doctors (both in here in Utah and the ones in Minnesota), amazing nurses (especially my last nurse Sandy, she was truly amazing), my AWESOME friends who sent me so many messages of encouragement and love (you know who you are), my INCREDIBLE family (both immediate and the in-laws), my parents for flying to MN and staying the week there just to be with me), my TOTALLY AMAZING husband (who took two weeks off of his life to be there constantly by my side, holding my hand until I was wheeled in to surgery, and staying every night on a squeaky cot in my hospital room), and most importantly the Lord (for without Him I could never have had the strength to go through a second surgery and stay positive through out the worst of times). Life is amazing and thanks to everyone who gives me their constant support and love. I love you all :)
